| Marketing Manager-Midwest - Carrabba's Italian Grill The Marketing Manager-Midwest for Carrabba’s Italian Grill will report to the Director of Local Marketing and will be responsible for the development of local marketing plans designed to drive system traffic, revenue, and growth. With limited supervision, the Marketing Manager proposes, develops and implements marketing initiatives that support the strategic business objectives for Carrabba’s Italian Grill restaurants. They are responsible for meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers and acting with customers in mind. • Development and execution of annual and quarterly Carrabba’s Italian Grill local marketing plans with market-specific programs that drive customers, sales and profitability growth in conjunction with national promotions. • Collaborate with Restaurant Partners (JVP’s) to identify local marketing opportunities, implement local and national marketing programs; ensuring results with an appropriate return on investment (ROI) and adherence to marketing initiatives and objectives of the Brand. • Analyze and recommend a local media plan in conjunction with Restaurant Partners • Partner with local media contacts and sponsorship partners to ensure consistent brand identity is maintained • Analyze and make recommendations based on market conditions, competitor data and customer research. • Identify and adjust business plans and with changes in national and local business cycles • Design and execute test programs consistent with the Brand message that build sales and traffic. • Analyze effectiveness of marketing material • Track and monitor project progress and develop project work plans • Effectively manage allocation of resources (people, time and budget) for local market regions • Identify and develop relationships with vendors & suppliers • Identify key goal, objective, and outcome of the marketing material with after action review process • Manage and mentor shared staff • Adhere to and act in line with the Company’s Principals and Beliefs. Location and Travel • This position will be home based and located in the Midwest. • Frequent travel to locations (50%) Required/Requested Skills • Knowledgeable in current and potential policies, practices, trends, and information affecting Casual Dining business and are aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace. • Ability to communicate marketing initiatives and influence the Restaurant Partners to result in successful adoption, implementation and business impact. • Gather, organize and disseminate best practices among restaurants. • Planning and organization skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to effectively create and deliver presentations. • Ability to set appropriate priorities and use time effectively. • Advanced computer literacy. • Knowledgeable of network, cable, and spot media planning. • Demonstrated analytical, creative, problem solving skills focused on driving for results. • Action oriented and have demonstrated the ability to interact and influence effectively with all levels of staff, management and external contacts. • Able to work effectively in a team environment. • Manages budgets within specified company guidelines and procedures. • Ability to lead and influence internal staff and partners Qualifications • Masters Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Public Relations with six years experience • Ideal candidates will have work experience in restaurant or hospitality companies and/or "Blue Chip" package goods companies such as: P&G Kraft, Kellogg, A-B InBev, MillerCoors, Coca-Cola or PepsiCo; or retail experience with companies such as: GAP, Target or Best Buy.
