Marketing Manager – Atlanta GA - Outback Marketing

Position Summary
Marketing Managers at Outback Steakhouse are responsible for participating in the creation and implementing new and existing market specific marketing initiatives that support strategic business objectives for Outback Steakhouse restaurants. They are responsible for meeting expectations and requirements of internal and external customers and acting with customers in mind.

Marketing Managers will:
• Develop and execute quarterly and semi-annual marketing plans for market-specific programs that drive customers, sales and profitability growth—above and beyond national promotions.
• Partner with Joint Venture Partners (JVPs) to communicate, influence and plan local marketing programs ensuring implementation results in an appropriate return on investment (ROI) and adherence to marketing initiatives and objectives of the Brand.
• Partner with local media contacts and sponsorship partners to create innovative approaches in support of marketing initiatives.
• Plan, manage, and measure budget and programs ensuring maximum cost control and effectiveness of marketing programs.
• Analyze and make recommendations based on market conditions, competitor data and customer research.
• Design and execute test programs consistent with the Brand message that build sales and traffic.
• Prepare materials for internal and external presentations on programs, business plans and management communications.
• Communicate a compelling and inspiring vision such that it is embraced by everyone.
• May serve as editor for formal business communications.
• May supervise, coach and develop other marketing professionals.

Required / Requested Skills
• Knowledgeable in current and potential policies, practices, trends, and information affecting Outback Steakhouse business and are aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
• Exhibit the ability to communicate marketing initiatives that inspire and influence the JVPs resulting in successful adoption, implementation and business impact.
• Proficient in market trends, competitive front, and restaurant opportunities and challenges is desired.
• Knowledgeable of network, cable, and spot media planning.
• Exceptional planning and organization skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to effectively create and deliver presentations; the ability to set appropriate priorities and use time effectively; and be computer literate.
• Demonstrated analytical, creative, problem solving skills focused on driving for results.
• Action oriented and have demonstrated the ability to interact and influence effectively with all levels of staff, management and external contacts.
• Able to effectively work in a team environment with a natural inclination toward coaching, developing and motivating others.
• Adhere to and act in line with the Company’s Principals and Beliefs.
• Requires approximately 50% travel.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Requires a minimum of 8 years experience in marketing, public relations, advertising, media relations or other external communications field.
• This position will be located in Outback Steakhouse's office in Atlanta, GA.
• Ideal candidates will have work experience with restaurant or hospitality companies and/or “Blue Chip” package goods companies such as: Proctor and Gamble, Kraft, Kellogg, or Clorox; or retail experience with companies such as: GAP, Target or Best Buy.
