Manager Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar Blue Coral Seafood & Spirits This position is based in Newport Beach, CA Primary Responsibilty Participate in the creation and implement new and existing market specific marketing initiatives that support strategic business objectives for two of OSI Restaurant Partner’s upscale brands – Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Blue Coral Seafood & Spirits. Meet expectations and requirements of internal and external customers and acts with customers in mind. Develop and execute quarterly and semi-annual marketing plans for market-specific programs that drive customers, sales and profitability growth—above and beyond national promotions. Partner with Joint Venture Partners (regional directors that oversee multiple restaurant units) and Operating Partners to communicate, influence and plan local marketing programs ensuring implementation results in an appropriate return on investment and adherence to marketing initiatives and objectives of the Brand. Partner with local media contacts and sponsorship partners to create innovative approaches in support of marketing initiatives. Interface with local/regional Public Relations agencies and OSI PR team to manage local PR programs and strategies, and ensure campaign success and ROI. Plan, manage, and measure budget and programs ensuring maximum cost control and effectiveness of marketing programs. Analyze and make recommendations based on market conditions, competitor data, customer research, and budget. Design and execute test programs consistent with the Brand message that build sales and traffic. Prepare materials for internal and external presentations on programs, business plans and management communications. Communicate a compelling and inspiring vision such that it is embraced by everyone. May serve as participant for formal business communications. Required / Requested Skills Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field is required. MBA preferred. Requires experience in marketing, public relations, advertising, media relations or other external communications field. Additional sales background and analytical skill set highly desirable (assist in private dining effort). Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting his/her business and is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace. Must exhibit the ability to communicate marketing initiatives that inspire and influence the Joint Venture Partner’s resulting in successful adoption, implementation and business impact. Has the ability to transform key data into clear business commentary and action points, and has the ability to summarize results with a focus on business implications and decisions. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, and organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on time. Proficiency in market trends, competitive front, and restaurant opportunities and challenges is desired. Knowledge of print, OOH, radio and online media planning is essential. Must have exceptional planning and organization skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to effectively create and deliver presentations; the ability to set appropriate priorities and use time effectively; and be extremely computer literate. Must demonstrate analytical, creative, problem solving skills focused on driving for results. Must be action oriented and have demonstrated the ability to interact and influence effectively with all levels of staff, management and external contacts. Must be able to effectively work in a team environment, yet be able to work independently as needed. Adheres to and acts in line with the Company’s Principals and Beliefs. Travel to restaurant markets may comprise approximately 25% of time. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE: Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. SUPERVISION: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience.
